Update! Veronica's pudendal nerve decompression surgery was successful, and she's now at the six-month mark. Unfortunately, full healing takes two or more years, and like most patients, Veronica needs follow-up care, including injections to the muscles surrounding the nerve. As with the surgery itself, these injections are not available in Veronica's home state of Wyoming and are not covered by insurance. (Which just shows how far we have to go in making women's health care available and affordable!) She plans to travel to Arizona to see highly respected Dr. Hibner.

As was the case for me (Carli), Veronica's symptoms are improving post-surgery but she's still in pain. Her symptoms make it difficult to care for her five kids, and she's no longer working as a lactation consultant because of her health problems. She and her family are struggling to pay the bills. With the right medical care, Veronica can return to work and support her family.
