Long version: the Epic

'Twas the night of the first snow and the residents of Dorchester were safely snuggled up in their Victorian homes...with the exception of some nefarious car thieves! A small ginger lived in this quiet neighborhood, who had a Prius by name of Puck, named after the mischievous fairy in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." This ginger loved a good drama on the stage, but alas they were not prepared for the drama that real life would bestow this fateful night. And lo, when the sun's light aroused the ginger from gentle slumber, they were bound for the market when behold! Puck's catalytic converter, the heart and soul of this sacred vessel, had been pilfered! The ginger cried out in alarm and hastened to the local automobile surgeon for a diagnosis. It was discovered that a transplant was possible, but would be quite costly. And it was only six weeks before that the ginger had purchased a new catalytic converter for Puck because the old one was verily of a janky and deteriorating quality. They were warned that they would need to install a shield to protect this precious jewel, and so a shield was ordered, but had not arrived in time to protect the darling vessel. The ginger called their Progressive benefactor, hoping they would take pity and help with the procedure, but alas Progressive was not moved by their plight. And so the ginger, having to pay just over $3,000 for a second time, turned to their community for aid. But wouldst they find it?

All genres aside, thank you so much for reading my silly renditions of an unexpected obstacle! In lieu of getting me a Christmas gift this year, if you could contribute anything towards this huge purchase, I would be immensely grateful! Unfortunately I don't live close to public transit, and so my car is how I get to work most days - especially out to St. Paul's in Natick and Cantilena in Arlington, both of which would be expensive to get to otherwise.
