I'm publishing the book I've been writing for two years.

Agunamakuash: When Crises Call for Courageous Leadership

War zones, refugee camps, epidemic outbreaks. Leadership lessons from Angola, Sudan, Chad, Darfur, Colombia, India, Peru, and Indonesia.

Places where caring for your team wasn't corporate culture - it was what kept people alive.

No frameworks. No step-by-step models. Just real stories from real situations where I had to lead.

Courageous, caring, authentic leadership - that's what actually works when everything's falling apart.

Asking for support:

I just ran a Kickstarter campaign to get funds to publish the book.

The positive news: People really backed me. More than €7,100 raised from 96 supporters.

The less positive news: We didn't reach the goal. Kickstarter is all-or-nothing, so no pledges were charged.

More positive news: I did my best with what was under my control. The results aren't in my control, but how I react to them is. So I decided to move forward.

I negotiated a new agreement with my publisher. This means I'm doing more of the work myself - tasks I would have had a team for. But the book still happens.

What I need is financial support to fund the next steps: professional typesetting, cover design, ebook production, and distribution to bookstores and online retailers.

The challenge: I need the people who backed me in the Kickstarter campaign (who were not charged the pledge) to support me here AND I need new backers to reach the goal.
