Here's the rewrite:
I'm Chris. I've written four fantasy novels — the Abyssalfang series, epic fantasy with dragons — and they're already finding readers online. Now I'm trying to get them properly published while I'm homeless and living in sober living. I live with mental health and substance use disorder. I take my meds, I stay stable, and most days writing is the thing that keeps me moving forward.
The books are done. What I need is the part I can't do alone. My first goal is $700, which covers a professional editor — that's the next step before anything else. Anything beyond that goes to publishing costs and getting the series in front of readers.
