From humble beginnings on scattered grass and gravel courts to the purpose-built indoor stadium and synthetic outdoor courts of today, the Orange Netball Association (ONA) story is quintessentially Australian and deeply inspiring.

The story is captured in Scoring Goals: 84 Years of Orange Netball, a book written by established author Dr Pam Ryan, a former player, official, executive member, current coach and netball enthusiast.

What we need from you

Donations will assist in professionally publishing and printing 500 copies of a hardcover book through Halstead Press. The books will be sold in a fund-raising campaign with all proceeds to ONA youth programs. Fundraising will mean investing in youth development and promoting women’s achievements.

The Origins: The pioneering spirit of our founders in 1942, establishing a uniquely women's sport during a challenging and transformative era.

The Characters: The extraordinary players, coaches, volunteers, and families who have populated the game, creating a culture of friendship and camaraderie over eight decades.

Competitive Pride: The journey of our representative players, including those who have gone on to prestigious State and National representative teams, even to the Australian Diamonds.

Community Partnership: The unwavering, 84-year-long support from the local community—a partnership that has fostered our enduring success and delivered world-class facilities.
