Publish The Lost Book of Ghostland

Donation protected
Ever since she was 8 years old, my wife has been drawing and writing about ghosts.  Now she has brought her story to life as a graphic novel, with black-and-white drawings reminiscent of Edward Gorey.  It is whimsical, funny, and exciting: a real page-turner!
She has sent the manuscript to agents and publishers, receiving high praise but "just not what they could use at the time." The last publisher we sent it to said to go the self-publishing route because  "that is how we all got our start."  So we have decided to go with Opus, the self-publishing department at the "Politics & Prose" bookstore in Washington DC.
We live in Knoxville TN, where Tina is retired after working for 25 years at the University of Tennessee Library.  I worked as a brass musical instrument repairman until 2003, when my elbows and wrists , and later my back, gave out on me.   I have been on disability since then.
With two fixed incomes, we have only just been keeping our heads above water, and now that we have this great project, we just cannot come up with the money necessary to get it printed and distributed.  Someone mentioned GOFUNDME, so here we are.
As an incentive for your help, each person who donates $20 or more will get a free copy of "The Lost Book of Ghostland" and a signed 8x10 print of Old Spooky (above), the main character.
    Thank you for your support!
