I am Mark Alan Hewitt, author of seven books on architecture and related subjects. I have a contract to publish my next book with Temple University Press. In an usual situation for me, they have demanded a "subvention" from me as part of my contract, and will not begin production until they have it. They gave me no help on getting grants, as have all my past publishers, for illustrations and production. So I must raise $8500 myself as soon as possible.
