Public Pool is in need of help!

Hi friends!

Public Pool is asking for your help! Our beloved community art space is in need of funding in order to sustain itself. Funds donated help keep the doors open and the lights on and the space activated. We are not a gallery that focuses on art sales, but rather an artist-run cooperative designed to create and support a wide range of contemporary art experiences. We achieve this by giving the opportunity for artists of all backgrounds to curate their own shows and experience.

Hamtramck's Public Pool Art Space has been operating for over 13 years showcasing local talent with exhibitions and community-building events — from potlucks to picnics to dance parties. It's the kind of place where artists of different mediums and perspectives can swim together.

We are asking for donations here to our GoFundMe campaign, Venmo (@Public-Pool) or in person... anything is appreciated. If you are in town on a Saturday from 1-6pm, feel free to stop in and meet the current exhibiting artist! We will have Public Pool logo t-shirts and tank tops available for $30, pick-up only! The exhibition "A Soft Place to Land" is on view through July 1st. Our next opening artist reception, GRAPEFRUIT!!!, the Annual Fruit exhibition is July 29th from 6-10pm.
