A Call to Support the Heroes Behind the Scenes
Public Restaurants have been serving Southern California for over a decade, and a key to our success has always been our staff. We pride ourselves in collecting some of the brightest young talents from the community, nurturing their skills and supporting their ambitions. These are not just employees, these are family, a legacy. And our family is struggling.
2020 has been devastating for so many restaurants, and our staff are no exception. Reduced capacity and hours have led to loss of income for many, and as the holidays approach and the specter of another lockdown looms on the horizon, our staff faces an uncertain future. That’s why we created this GoFundMe. We all know how state and federal support for the work force has fallen short with delays, denials and disinformation.
100 percent of donations (yes, all of it!) will be given to our hardworking staff at Public Temecula and Downtown Public. Our hope is that by alleviating some of the financial stress and hardship ahead, we can show our gratitude to these incredible men and women who risk their health working in a pandemic to serve you.
This fundraiser isn't about our business. It's about giving aid to people who need it. Since our government is has treating the pandemic as a chess game, and us as pawns, this is the most direct method of providing aid. No bureaucracy, no red tape, no BS. Just sweet relief straight to the hands that have been feeding you.
We realize this year has been hard on so many, and we would never ask that you donate if you do not have the means. But if you do, we hope you’ll lend our staff some support. We’re looking forward to serving you for years to come.
