My name is Annie Guss, and I am the social media manager and one of the four student officers of Public Hearing A Cappella- UW-Milwaukee's only standing A Cappella ensemble! In the spring of 2021, two of our now-officers, Tyler Grant and River Rommel, got together to discuss starting a new group on campus. Both participated in competitive A Cappella in high school and wanted to continue that passion into their college careers, but found that UWM had no existing group. They gained two more officers, myself and Bella Brundage, to agree to help set up the group and got to work. Because we had to start the group from the ground up, anything and everything we needed was out of our own pockets. This October, we were accepted into the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA)! We are so thankful and excited for all the opportunities we've had thus far, but now that got the ball rolling, we need more help to keep our group up and running. All donations will go 100% towards the group and help pay for everything: music arrangements, entrance fees, mics, attire, rehearsal space, performance space, travel, and more.
