Hi everyone,
As some of you already know, I was recently laid off from my job. This came as a surprise, and while I am actively applying for new roles and interviewing, the sudden loss of income has created an immediate financial gap that I am struggling to close on my own.
It is difficult for me to ask for help, but I am reaching out to my community to help me stay afloat for the next few months so I can focus on finding the right job without the looming fear of losing my housing or ability to care for my health.
What the funds are for:
I am setting a goal of $5,000, which strictly covers my survival basics for the next two months:
• Rent: Keeping a roof over my head is my top priority.
• Car Payment: My car is essential for getting to interviews and appointments.
• Medical Bills (Severe Venous Insufficiency): I suffer from severe venous insufficiency. Managing this condition requires consistent medical care and treatment to prevent complications and maintain my mobility. Losing my income has made keeping up with these necessary medical costs incredibly difficult, and I cannot afford to pause treatment while I look for work.
How you can help:
If you are able to donate, even $20 helps me pay for a day of groceries or gas. If you aren't in a position to donate, I completely understand—sharing this link with your network would mean just as much to me.
I am optimistic about finding work soon, and I will keep you all posted on my job search. Thank you so much for your support, kindness, and encouragement during this tough transition.
With gratitude,
Lance
