Support Junior's Recovery After Accident

DOUBLE UPDATE: JUNIOR is doing very well! His hair is growing back, he is using his jaw more, his head contusion is gone!! Douglas will need to keep an eye on the lung contusion and possible future complications. Overall, it is a miracle! Big thank you to everyone for prayers and wishes and sharing and donating! Hi all. My name is Deb Cross. I live in Eden Prairie. I had a wonderful neighbor and friend named Pam. She passed away not long ago. She has a son named Douglas and he decided to move into her place. We were all very excited to have him in the family!

Of course, Douglas has a dog . His name is Junior. Junior is an adorable pit bull that is spunky, funny, and full of energy! While Douglas and family were trying to move some things out of the home, Junior managed to slip out. It was discovered quickly, and he was on his way back in when he was distracted by another dog across the street.

Sadly, his distraction caused him to cross the street just as a car had turned the corner and was coming down the road. Douglas witnessed the heartbreaking scene of Junior being hit.

Junior isn't just a pet. He is family, and he means everything to Douglas.

They rushed him to the ER where he had a huge contusion on his head, his jaw was swollen to the point that he could not open it, and he had a contusion on his lung. This is a very critical situation, and they only gave him a 50/50 chance of surviving.

Miraculously, he did survive!! He is getting better every day but may have lifelong complications and has to be on possible medications.

Junior had to be in an oxygen cage overnight. The total cost for one night was a little over $5000.

If you can find it in your heart to please help Douglas with the vet bills and alleviate the financial burden so he can concentrate on getting Junior healthy, it would be greatly appreciated!!

We all know how much pets mean to us and how much love they give!
