Lea is a bright, kind, and caring student who is part of the Junior Chance Makers leadership program at Give Chances (https://givechances.org/ https://www.instagram.com/givechances.inc/). Give Chances is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds through accessible education, leadership development, and community service opportunities.

Lea is passionate about community service and volunteers with Give Chances, helping younger children and her community with a warm heart and joyful spirit. Lea is the kind of student who always shows up ready to serve others.

Sadly, on the night of March 28, Lea’s family experienced a devastating house fire, and their home was completely destroyed. In a single moment, Lea and her family lost their home and many of the basic things they relied on every day.

As a community, we are heartbroken for Lea and her family. A student who has so often given her time and heart to others is now facing one of the hardest moments of her life.

We are raising funds to help support Lea’s family as they begin to recover and rebuild.

My name is Youngna Lee, and I am the Executive Director of Give Chances, a nonprofit organization based in Bergen County, NJ. Lea is a student in our Junior Chance Makers youth leadership program, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her and her family.

Funds raised will be used to help Lea's family cover urgent, immediate needs following the loss of their home in a fire on March 28, 2026 — including temporary housing, replacement of essential clothing and personal items, food, and other emergency expenses as they begin to rebuild.

All donations will be transferred directly to Lea's family. Give Chances will serve as a trusted intermediary to ensure funds are delivered promptly and used solely for the family's recovery needs.

We are sharing this fundraiser with our Give Chances community — including current and former program participants, families, volunteers, and supporters through our organization's social media channels, email outreach, and community networks in Bergen County. The fundraiser has also been covered by the Korea Times NY. Our donors are people who know and care about the young people we serve.
