PT’s Electric Funeral

Anyone who knew PT Fredrickson, or whatever name you knew him by, would attest to the fact that he lived a good life. No. An amazing life! For me and my cohort, known in some circles as Wednesday Night Choir Practice, we had weekly access to all the joy, friendship and love that was Paul. Obviously we were devastated when he lost his brave battle with cancer. Gutted. However, out of necessity we have created our own tradition of saying goodbye to one of our own in a way that makes sense to us. Hence the Electric Funeral, again being hosted by the amazing temple of music and celebration known as the Park Theater. Music tied us together and music will help us get through this as we all learn how to live without him. We are raising funds for an appropriate memorial so as to keep his memory alive and his spirit present in the places where we all gather as friends.

Is a jukebox better than a tombstone? We think so. Paul’s dear wife Carrie has bestowed upon the boys a gift of music in the form of his collection of vinyl 45’s. The idea is to buy a jukebox to hold them, to play them and to serve as a memorial in the place that he felt so at home. All funds in excess will be given to the Park Theater as a gift in loving memory of Paul’s.
