The bible tells us that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. If cancer can cause this much damage, imagine what mustard seed size faith can do.
Erica Deleon (age 37) and her husband Ismael have worked their entire lives to provide for their family. She worked for nine years at Advent Health, formerly Florida Hospital Wauchula in phlebotomy and has been employed at Advent Health, formerly, Pioneer Medical Center for the past three years in registration. Ismael is currently employed at Mid-State Industrial Construction and was employed by CCC Group for 16 years as a Civil Supervisor. They have 5 beautiful daughters Ashleigh, Valerie, Alexis, Stephanie, and Mercedes. Last week their lives were turned upside down. Erica was diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has been in the hospital since, getting chemotherapy. Because this kind of leukemia acts quickly, they had no other choice than to fight this battle head on. This has left her unemployed and her husband, Ismael, to work less hours, care for the children, and commute back and forth to Orlando every single day to check on the love of his life. A family that has worked their entire life to provide is at risk of losing everything they have built. Fortunately, they have good health insurance, but this isn’t enough. The hospital stay for one week is $78,000, the family needs money for the deductible which is $7800 by March 1st. But not only is this very large bill coming due, they have a mortgage, vehicles, electricity, groceries, gas….and on and on. We all know the bills that come every month that is never a problem until a life altering diagnosis attacks your family. Needless to say, we are asking you to give anything you can to this family because they are in great need.
She will be in the hospital for 3 more weeks getting chemo, totaling 4 weeks for the first round. Then she will come home for 7-10 days and go back in for more chemo. She will be left unemployed because of the chemo tearing down her immune system in order to kill the cancer.
We know that this is a terrible thing, but Erica is a fighter, she will not give up.
Along with anything you can give financially we are asking that you pray for all of them as this is an extremely hard time.
Thank you will never be enough for anything you can give!
