Dan and Jeri Andersen have been lifelong residents of Thompson Falls. They have been married for over 32 years and have 2 sons, Derek and Lucas. Dan has worked in the construction field for much of that time until December of 2022, when he broke a rib.
After the rib didn’t heal and after many tests, in March of 2023 Dan was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma. Since then, they have found multiple areas where the cancer has attacked the bones, which have resulted in tumors.
Dan has responded well to weekly chemo treatments and is now ready to have a stem cell transplant in Salt Lake City, UT. The hope is the transplant will put the cancer into remission and the family can return to a resemblance of a semi-normal life.
Dan and Jeri will be traveling to Salt Lake City to have his stem cells harvested. Once the transplant is completed, they will have to stay near the clinic for an additional 4-6 weeks.
The Andersen's are a generous family who will go out of their way to help anyone in need. They are now the ones who could use a little help. While going thru this journey, they also are the primary caregivers for Jeri’s Mom and have been enduring all of life’s challenges with poise and strength.
As we all know, medical bills add up fast. All funds raised will go towards medical and living expenses. Any help is appreciated, prayers and good thoughts are welcomed as well.
