Hello everyone, I am setting up this GoFundMe for my mom. She has been struggling with liver failure for some time now and waiting for a liver transplant. She has a rare blood type and other complications so the transplant has been put on hold at the moment. In the mean time she has been taking medication called XIFAXAN ( RIFAXIAIN ) 550 mg twice a day. Problem now is she has just been dropped from the Medicaid insurance which was covering the cost of this one pill. The medication is $1,050 for 1 month supply. My dad has put in an application with the manufacturer of the medication to see if she qualifies their assistance in paying for the meds. Only problem there is my mom has 1 weeks supply left and it takes 2 weeks for this company to process your application. My mom desperately needs this medication to flush out the toxins in the blood. If she can't get the medication, the toxins build up in the blood very fast and it will turn critical. I am asking anyone to please donate anything at all so my mom can get this medication. I know times are hard for everyone but this is life or death. If you cant donate please share my moms story. Thank you all very much.
