If you’re lucky enough to know Stephanie, you know she’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back — and mean it. She’s a devoted single mom to her teenage son Aiden, a hardworking medical assistant, and the kind of friend who shows up for everyone else, no matter what she’s going through. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

Stephanie has been battling IgA nephropathy and thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) — two rare and devastating kidney diseases. Together, they are causing her kidneys to fail. These conditions damage the kidneys’ ability to filter waste and blood properly, leading to serious complications like high blood pressure, anemia, and organ failure. Despite every treatment and medication available, her kidney function continues to decline — and she now urgently needs a kidney transplant to survive.

While fighting for her life, Stephanie is also fighting a financial battle no one should have to face. Her health insurance premiums cost over $500 a month, and even with coverage, the medical bills are overwhelming — from countless hospital stays and lab tests to dialysis and transplant-related expenses. She’s doing everything she can to stay afloat while raising Aiden, but the costs are more than one person can bear.

Through it all, Stephanie’s strength and kindness never fade. She’s still the one checking in on her friends, making sure her patients are cared for, and loving her dogs like they’re part of the family. She’s selfless, resilient, and full of love — even in the face of exhaustion and pain.
