Hi there!
In the summer of September 2023, I decided to lace up my trainers for the first time. I honestly had no idea what I was getting into—my first run lasted about 30 seconds before I was out of breath and feeling like it was impossible to go on. But what started as a struggle quickly turned into something more. Each run, no matter how short, became a small victory, and soon, running became something I actually looked forward to. Fast forward to today, and I’m now preparing to run a marathon. The progress I’ve made—from barely managing a minute of running to aiming for 26.2 miles—is something I’m incredibly proud of, and it’s a reminder that every step of growth is worth recognising and sharing.
This marathon represents so much more than a race. It’s about resilience, dedication, and the power of pushing through the tough moments. No journey is smooth sailing, but what will be the proudest moment is when I cross that line, knowing that each step is going towards a charity that does their best to bring brightness into lives.
I’m running this marathon to raise funds for Mind, a charity that's close to my heart due to personal experiences. Mind provide incredible mental health support when they need it most!
