This summer, I am going to be part of an amzing experience through my church in Corbin, Immanuel Baptist Church. God has been doing amazing things over the years here at Immanuel, and I know He is going to continue to work in amazing ways through our Acts 1:8 team this summer.

The Acts 1:8 team will be made up of a team of college students willing to give up a summer and serve the Lord. We will start with a week of training at The Southern Baptist Seminary in Lousiville, learning and growing in preparation of our service thr resrt of the summer. Then, we  will spend 4 weeks in Corbin as a part of Immanuel Baptist, helping to put on events to reach our community for Christ, such as VBS and LUCID (our youth VBS). Additionally, we will be doing follow up with the kids and their families, building relationships with them and getting them plugged into a church. Then, we will be heading to Panama City Beach, Florida toput on our own youth camp. God has been moving in great ways through the youth group and our camp is going to be the next great way that God moves in the lives of the youth. Our summer will wrap up with a week in Alaska serving with GraceWorks ministry to evangelize in the parks and work with local churches to reach the very diverse community in Alaska.

It is going to be an incredible summer, and prayers are very much appreciated. I need to raise $1,900 to fund me for the trips to Alaska and Panama, as well as for other expenses during the summer.
