We, the proprietors of The Old Courthouse Inn (www.oldcourthouseinn.ca), are raising funds with the public's financial assistance, to replace our existing 20+ year old boiler with a hi-efficency one that will help us in reducing our carbon footprint.
We own a small 8 room Boutique Heritage hotel on the upper Sunshine Coast in Powell River, BC, Canada and our goal is to be as environmentally responsible as we can.
Our little hotel currently has very extensive recycling and composting programs (we strive to be 100% waste free), towel reuse programs and we have switched out all chemicals and cleaning products to environmentally safe ones. Now we have turned our efforts to changing out our mechanical room to one that is 85% efficent (the current one is 5% effiecient), where we use less water and less natural gas to heat the building and water.
We propose that for every $25 we will give you, as a donor, a free meal. For every $100 donation we will give you 5 free meals in our restaurant.
For every $125 donation we will give you a free night stay in the inn and for every $1000 we will give you 10 nights free (double occupancy). With every stay - complimentary full hot breakfast is included.
