Sydney's Bat Mitzvah Project

Just before My 3rd birthday I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (juvenile Diabetes ). For over 10 I have had to test my blood (finger sticks) on average 5 or 6 times day. Currently I wear an insulin pump which allows me to inject insulin as i need it with out having to take shots everytime, but prior to that I would have to take shots 3 or 4 times daily sometimes more.
Why am i sharing this information with you? Well as part of my Bat Mitzvah project I wanted to do something to help others like me. Here in America insulin, test strips, pump supplies and other diabetes supplies are while expensive still readily available. Unfortunately in some other countries that is not the case. Many children and adults die or have serious complications (blindness, kidney failure, amputation & death) as a result of not being able to get the proper care.
In the past I have participated in fund raising events for the both the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the DRI(Diabetes Research Institute) which are amazing organizations that are both looking for a cure for this disease as well as treatments for those of us living with it.
However this time I am adding a third charity to my efforts Marjoire's Fund which has a global initiative to bring diabetes supplies & education to people in need in poor settings.
I am asking you to help me to help others I would like to raise $3500 by the time my Bat Mitzvah comes on October 10, 2015 to be able to donate $1000 each to the JDRF and the DRI and $2000 to Marjories Fund.
Every dollar counts all contributions small or large are appreciated and will help me reach my goals.
