Hi. I'm Tony Simmons.
Update: I'm in the final stages of the disability application process, and a request has been submitted to expedite my case. Even so, the SSA website shows that I will receive a decision by November. My mortgage is currently in forbearance until October. I'm behind on most of my bills, but I have a roof over my head.
Since I took the second dose of the vaccine, I am grateful for each day I wake up. I might be in overwhelming pain, but I'm alive, and I'm still able to love and recognize that others love me. My personality is essentially the same. I'm not as mentally capable as I used to be, but I'm able to write well enough to convey my message (albeit much more slowly because of the fog). I may have lost a great deal because of the reaction my body had to the vaccine, but I'm still here. I have hope.
Because of my reaction to the vaccine, I had to leave my job in April 2021. The insurance company denied my short and long-term disability claims because there were "no reports" of side effects like mine. Fortunately, I had my savings to fall back on, but now I'm surviving because of the generosity of people like you while I continue to wait for my application for Social Security Disability to be processed. Every donation, no matter how small, is appreciated.
If you're reading this, I love you and wish you joy. Thank you for thinking enough of me to even read this. You all amaze me. I will continue to strive to be worthy of your generosity and sacrifice.
If you want to contact me directly, I can be reached at [email redacted]. My phone number is [phone redacted]. If you want to visit, even better.
