Hoi, mijn naam is Sam Sturkenboom en ik ben vierdejaars student aan de Dutch Filmers Academy. Dit jaar maak ik mijn afstudeerfilm, het project waar ik de afgelopen jaren naartoe heb gewerkt en waarin ik alles wil samenbrengen wat ik als filmmaker heb geleerd.

Mijn film wordt een psychologische thriller: gelaagd, beklemmend en visueel sterk. Ik wil een verhaal vertellen dat onder je huid kruipt en nog lang blijft hangen. Met deze film wil ik laten zien dat Nederlandse cinema ook écht spannend, stijlvol en intens kan zijn. Dit is voor mij niet zomaar een schoolopdracht, maar het begin van mijn carrière en mijn kans om een frisse impuls te geven aan het Nederlandse thriller- en horrorgenre.

After a violent home invasion, a young woman tries to rebuild her life. But as her nightmares, hallucinations, and insomnia grow worse, she begins to suspect that the danger is closer than she thinks, and that she has unknowingly become part of a carefully orchestrated game.
