Help us take PSYCHO DRAMA QUEEN to Ed Fringe 2019
Donation protected
When established drag performer Anthony (aka Theresa Mayhem) is attacked on the street, the community rallies around him and he tries to capitalise on the trauma. Then the truth about his own behaviour starts to emerge. What if Anthony isn't just an innocent victim?
To find out, please help us take my new play Psycho Drama Queen to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year.
The script is the culmination of my two-year Master's at Drama Centre London, and I’ve been offered a great slot to put it on at ZOO Venues in Edinburgh (a brilliant theatre space, centrally located) for a full-run of 24 shows from 4th-26th August.
I've teamed up with director Matt Iles and producer Pinky Latt to take the show up, and we've assembled a fabulous cast & crew of students and alumni from Drama Centre London.
This production will be the first time my work is put on in a professional theatre and it's a huge opportunity for all of us involved. Your support will enable us to take a big step forward in our careers; it's an investment in our future.
We've already raised £10,000, and we need £5,000 more by the end of June to make it possible.
Breakdown of £5,000 we're asking for
- £1,500 for marketing (designing and printing flyers and posters)
- £1,500 towards accommodation for cast & crew of six people (of £6,000 total)
- £2,000 for production (set design and purchase, props, costume, hair and make-up)
Breakdown of £10,000 we've raised so far
- £3,700 for venue hire and guarantee - self-funded by Henry
- £4,500 towards accommodation for cast & crew of six people (of £6,000 total) - self-funded by cast & crew
- £1,800 in kind for rehearsal space - kindly given by Drama Centre London
