update: thank you all so much for donating and sharing. So far with the help of those who have donated through go fund me and outside of go fund me, the eviction is now stopped and housing is secure. Any further donations will go directly to other bills and reliable transportation to be able to maintain employment and housing. Thank you so much! The amount of love and gratitude is immense. Without you this would not be possible!
Hi everyone,
I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Kaitlin, a devoted mom to three kids and three dogs who works incredibly hard to support her family. This year has been relentless, and it has reached a point where she truly cannot do this alone anymore.
To be honest, it’s just been an unbelievably hard year. Kaitlin spent the first three months of this year homeless. When she finally secured an apartment, she was starting from absolutely nothing. This is the first time in her adult life that she has had a place of her own, as she previously lived with her ex-husband. Every month since moving in to her own place, she has somehow managed to scrape things together — but the constant stress, grief of the recent loss of her mom, and financial strain have finally become too much.
She is currently facing eviction and needs to pay by the 14th of January. She is dealing with car trouble that affects her ability to get to work and leaving her dependent on others for rides, and is unable to access many assistance programs due to a pending divorce. With the holidays right around the corner, the pressure is overwhelming.
Kaitlin is not asking for luxuries. All funds raised will go directly toward rent, groceries, utilities, and basic needs — simply keeping a roof over her family’s heads and food on the table. Our hope is to remove at least one enormous stressor so she can grieve her mother without the constant fear of losing her home.
If you are able to donate, share, or even just hold this family in your thoughts, it would mean more than words can express. Sometimes a community coming together can make the difference between survival and stability.
Thank you for reading, caring, and supporting Kaitlin and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
Our hope is to keep this family in their home with the support of our community.
thank you so much
