Josh's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On June 1st of this year my brother, Josh was involved in a very serious car accident. He drove his car underneath the back of a semi tanker on I75 around 11pm. 3 different fire departments responded to the call. He was cut from his vehicle and life flighted to a near by hospital. Josh had a lot of internal bleeding and was immediately rushed into surgery to repair his liver and spleen. He had numerous broken ribs, his right hip, left ankle and knee were all also broken. Both of his femurs had open fractures. They had to drill a hole in his skull to let the pressure out and had two surgeries on his lungs to repair two holes and drain the fluid out.
Josh is still in the ICU at a long term care facility. He is currently fighting a very severe lung infection and they are going to start weening him off the ventilator soon in hopes that he will be able to breathe on his own. He suffered a very traumatic brain injury. We get little bits and pieces of him back every week. Its a slow process, but its progress none the less. We just aren't sure how much of him we will get back in the end of all of this.
Our father recently learned that his medical expenses are going to be well over 10 grand out of pocket. Josh has a VERY long road of recovery in front of him. Its been a slow process but he is making baby steps forward every week. We were trying to avoid asking for help but it seems he is going to need every ounce of help he can get.
We love and appreciate you all for of the support and prayers that we have had for the past few months!
