Hello, my name is Conor Bifulco, and I have written a play called “Oh Pseudolus.” It’s a modern retelling of the ancient Roman comedy by Plautus, more simply titled “Pseudolus.” It’s a hilarious story that remains just as funny today as it was 2000 years ago!

In both versions, Pseudolus is a story of love, heartbreak, and laughter set in Athens. In my version, Pseudolus works as an executive assistant at the world’s biggest halloumi company. Her boss (Calidorus), the son of the CEO (Simo), gets into trouble when he finds out that his beloved (Phoenecium) is about to be sold into prostitution by the vile pimp (Ballio). To earn her big promotion, Pseudolus must lie, scheme, and trick her way into freeing Phoenecium and making her boss proud!

We will have a team of incredible actors, not to mention the award-winning poet, director, model, and actress Greta Bellamacina, in the lead. I could not imagine a better talent for this role. She is, quite literally, who I wrote the play for.

This project is an “Oh No Theater” production, a collaboration between the play’s director, Dalton Scott, and myself. We saw great success with our first play, “Oh Hillary,” which had a week-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe, and we are eager to do more. We are passionate, committed, and experienced in all things dramatic.

To cover costs for the theater (The Cockpit in Shoreditch, London), actors, props, sets, transportation, and all expenses involved in a high-quality production, we need as much help as we can get. The dates are August 8th and 9th, 5 pm at The Cockpit in Shoreditch, London.
