Hi! My name is Sara Burns and I'm a volunteer based in the United States. I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Yahya. He is one of the kindest individuals who I've met and he deserves another chance at a safe and prosperous life. Below is his story:

Hello My name is Yahya Kodeih from Palestine, I live in the Gaza Strip, Khan Younis area, Khuza'a village.

In light of the continuation of the war since October 7, 2023, which deprived me of living a decent life and completing my university studies, I am a student at the Faculty of Nursing. My family and I were shocked by the loss, destruction and burning of our house during the war and the destruction of my family's business that was our livelihood. We have been displaced four times as the war continues, the last of which was our displacement from the city of Rafah to Mawasi Khan Younis, and we live in a small tent with my family of 7 members, my sister and her 4 children, and we live in very difficult conditions due to the lack of basic needs such as food, drink and housing. We live in insecurity and instability, which constantly puts my life and the life of my family at risk, yet I am determined to remain strong and hold on to hope for a better day for myself and my region.

The donated funds will be used to secure my family's basic needs and for the ability to evacuate and leave outside the Gaza Strip in order to complete my university studies in Egypt. And if you can't help, be sure to share the link to spread awareness and reach those who can! Anything is useful.
