My name is Michael Hazlett.
On May 30th, 2020 in Chicago my life was cut short when I was brutally beaten by the Maywood Police Department and passed in police custody. I was then transported to Loyola hospital by the police where I was pronounced dead on arrival. My body sat for eight days in the Cook County Morgue, my family was never notified, and had to come looking for me. I was detained without being charged or processed and no official police report was on file.
I am seeking help with my funeral expenses, justice, and to bring my body back home to my family. My death was untimely and unjust. #justiceformike
