Help for Conor to see the US specialists he needs

Tracey & Mark Kearns are amazing parents to three beautiful wonderful children, Conor (20), Abbie (20) & Callum (14).  In life they have had their fair share of difficult roads but the most recent difficult road is the hardest one to hit yet. Below is a recent post from Tracey, in her own words, explaining the devastating news of their son Conor's diagnosis.

“Well as a Mother this is a post I thought we would never share. We our heartbroken to say that our Son Conor has been diagnosed with this very rare illness PSC Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.  l know, what do you say, if crying would heal him he would be superman right now but thats not the case. As this illness is so rare there is no cure and very little is understood about it. Most PSC patients will need to have a liver transplant at some stage an many may have 2 or 3 as there is a 25 per cent chance it will come back.
Luckily for us conor isn't at that stage now. As the illness is so rare we don't even know how many there is in lreland at the moment. I have found this amazing PSC foundation in Denver which is run by a PSC patient an the information he has given us has given us hope back as a family.
So we are heading to Denver to meet the doctors who specialise in PSC and just as important the families who live with it day by day. I just want to thank everyone. l have had my fair share of bad times but these have been the most darkest days for us a family. We have struggled day by day to get answers, but with the help an support of our family an very very dear friends, your chats, calls and messages have cheered us up on the most darkest of days, to know we have your support means more than anything to us and we know how lucky an blessed we our to have you in our lives.

When life throws something like this at you, life stops you and wonder how people our still shopping an going about their business. Then slowly the hope comes back an you find this life line in Denver for us, so watch this space.”

The Kearns family are one of the nicest, genuine, strongest, caring families I know. And I know that everyone who knows them think the same and would whole heartedly want to support them on this difficult journey they have ahead.  Lets try and raise some funds for Conor to see the specialists he needs over in Denver United States.

Thank you all  xxxx
