Support Jennifer's Journey to Recovery

Jennifer is a beloved daughter, teacher, and furball mother to an amazing rescue dog. She is my sister and friend.
For over a year, Jennifer has lived with horrible digestive issues that no doctor has been able to cure, destroying her health and preventing her from having anything resembling a normal life. Most recently, she had to have her entire colon removed and have an ileostomy. Due to serious complications, including two excruciating bowel obstructions and chronic malnutrition, she has been hospitalized 4 times and spent a total of 27 nights in the hospital in a two-month period. In the hospital she needed additional surgeries and was hooked up to two different feeding tubes just to have enough sustenance to survive. She was recently sent home with a PICC line for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and has had a G-J tube since June (not without several complications), and now must receive IV nutrition 12 hours daily (the TPN) and supplement this with the G-J tube feedings. Her weakened state has left her unable to work and barely able to leave her home and with chronic abdominal pain as she continues to heal. Through it all, Jennifer continues to fight, enduring terrible pain and weakness in the hope of one day building a life and career for herself.
Jennifer’s family and friends do all they can to help, and have been amazing support, but she still struggles to take care of herself and her loving rescue dog that has been with her through thick and thin. She has been out of work for a year now. Because of the complexity of her diagnosis, she could be dependent on both feeding tubes for 3-6 months, and end up back in the ER at any time.
We are reaching out in the hope of helping to cover her expenses in maintaining her health, her home, and her fur baby, so that she may put her focus on rebuilding her health. Please consider donating to Jennifer and help my sister recover her life.
