Recently, I was scammed and robbed of a £3,500 camera in an online bank transfer scam. It's an essential tool for my work as a social media manager and content creator. This wasn’t just a piece of equipment; it was an investment in my career, my stability, and my future.

What makes this even more distressing is that when I confronted the person responsible, they threatened me with violence if I took legal action. I reported it to the police, but they’ve told me there’s not a lot they can do. I’m devastated and feel completely abandoned by the system.

This money wasn’t spare - it was a lifeline. I had planned to use it for:

• Urgent vet bills for my cat, who’s been unwell and desperately needs care.

• Recently taking in a rescue rabbit, I need to provide for her.

• Upgrading my equipment to keep creating content and growing professionally, especially for TikTok and a growing social media manager.

• Essential home repairs that I’ve had to keep putting off.

Without the camera, I’ve lost a critical part of how I earn an income. But more than that, the emotional toll of being threatened, scammed, and dismissed has left me feeling helpless and broken.
