My daughter Alex and I are training as a Duo Team for the 2025 Marine Corps Marathon, the 50th anniversary of the MCM!

Alex is profoundly autistic and has an intellectual disability. She loves the outdoors, and we love running together, with me pushing her in a running wheelchair. This will be the fifth time we are running as a Duo Team in the Marine Corps Marathon. We are so excited!

Indeed, Alex will qualify for the MCM Runners Club by completing her 5th MCM this year!

In addition to the joy of training and marathoning together, we are seeking to raise funds for Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, where I serve on the board.

Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is part of the National Park System and is a place we love and many love (please visit when you're in DC!). It is a true gem of the National Park System, famous for its lotus and lily flowers in the summer, while beautiful and peaceful all year long!
