PS15 needs your help!

PS 15 is a Title One school serving many of the low-income families in Red Hook. Our community has been hit hard by the Covid-19 Pandemic, suffering job loss and many of our families are struggling to meet basic needs.
Earlier this month we initiated the program to match donors with families in need, to provide vital school supplies to make homeschooling more equitable for all of our students. We are happy to report that our efforts have been a great success. It is amazing what the staff of PS15 has been able to do. It feels as though we were all pushed out of a plane, and they made us parachutes on the way down.
The PTA board of PS15 would like to build on these efforts and raise funds to further help our families at risk over the next couple of months; keeping the lights on & our students fed. Learning can’t happen on an empty stomach, or without power.
Many of our families have lost all means of supporting themselves.
The PTA is now reaching out to you, our neighborhood, our families, and our friends: to give them a hand until we can figure out what the new normal will be.
All funds will be deposited directly into the PTA account and used for the continued support to families for essential needs.
