This fundraiser began as a small, time-limited pilot to support neutering in a rural village in the Veliko Tarnovo region — an area with no accessible TNR or veterinary support. Thanks to the kindness of donors, that pilot has now been completed, and several dogs have already been safely neutered.

Following this, it’s clear the need is ongoing. There are still dogs in the village at risk of repeated breeding, and without continued support, the cycle will simply restart. This fundraiser is now continuing as an ongoing prevention fund, supporting neutering, transport, and aftercare for identified dogs in the area.

I will share updates as this progresses. Thank you for making prevention possible.

Could you spare £5 (GoFundMe minimum amount) for animals in need.

I’m stepping a little outside my comfort zone today, because I care deeply about something I’ve seen first-hand.

I regularly spend time in rural Bulgaria, and like many villages, there are far more dogs having puppies than the area can support.

Without early intervention, many puppies don’t survive their first year.

While many incredible people are doing all they can, some rural areas remain under-represented and prevention often comes too late.

I’m raising funds for a small pilot neutering / dog population management programme — focused on prevention, not crisis rescue.
This includes neutering, safe transport, and getting animals to vets who already support this work.

This pilot is a small, practical step, to stop the cycle before it starts again, with the hope that it can demonstrate what’s possible at a local level and help encourage longer-term, locally supported solutions.

Important for transparency:
• I’m organising this fundraiser, and funds go directly to the local coordinator running the work in Bulgaria
• I do not receive or handle the money personally
• Updates will be shared openly

I know donating to another country takes trust.
All I can offer in return is honesty, care, and a commitment to do this properly.

If you can spare £5 — thank you.
If you can’t — sharing this helps just as much.

Together, small actions like this can mean fewer puppies suffering.

Thank you.
