Hi, my name is Courteney Nelson. I am the mother to four beautiful and unique children. We recently suffered an extremely traumatic vehicle accident on Highway 69 in Pryor, OK, en route to visit family nearby in Texas. Our road trip began in upstate New York, and we were just 3.5 hours shy of our destination. Completely stopped at a red light, we were rear-ended by a semi-truck!!! I take great pride in protecting my children and have always been adamant about every aspect of their safety. Our #1 car rule is, "MOM DOES NOT DRIVE UNTIL EVERYONE IS BUCKLED UP. Although this was the most extended road trip I have driven them on, we were excited to arrive. I have never experienced a heartache of this magnitude. We appreciate the prayers and support extended to us thus far, as this tragedy has inflicted sorrowful hardship on our family. Since the accident, two of my children have been released from the hospital and continue to thrive. My younger two children (ages 4 and 9 mos) remain in PICU. I am optimistic that we can put this behind us with continuous support, and I look forward to a triumphant future for everyone involved.
