Jerry is waiting on a new heart!

My name is Christi, my dad is Jerry. He is currently at Jewish hospital anxiously awaiting a new heart.He has been there for 3 weeks now. He is currently at the highest priority on the heart trasplant list. He has battled heart disease since he was 35 and it has finally come to the point that he cannot survive without a heart trasplant. He has always been the most caring and selfless man I've ever known. One of his big concerns and priorities while being at the hospital has been about continuing to be able to tithe to his church, along with other bills and medical bills. My mom is currently staying with him day and night because its just a very scary time for us all. So she is unable to work at this time and is thankful to have a great employer who allows her to do that and is understanding about her not being there.
When I was young I had many surgeries for scoliosis and during all those hospital stays in Louisville my dad would drive and hour and half each way to come see me daily, take care of me and support me, all while still working a full time job. He would come stay at the hospital with me and get up at 3 am to drive back home to go to work. Hes always been a fantastic father and provider and a Godly man. I am now gladly doing the same thing for him and am making this gofundme page to help support him and my mom during this trying time. It is absolutely in God's hands and we trust him. I am also now signed up to be an organ donor because I've seen the great importance of it while watching my dad anxiously awaiting a new heart.
