Hello Friends and Family of Maria, and mine. Those who do not know me, my name is Felicia and my sister Maria is fighting the most horrific fight of her life. She is only 42 and has a 14 year old daughter named Erykah. Maria had just started working for the State of NM when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. The battle has begun and she started chemotherapy treatment but lost that state job due to the illness. With the loss of her job came the loss of her insurance. The doctors office literally stopped her treatments until she has proof of insurance or can pay for the procedures up front. We are hoping this insurance issue will be resolved by next week.

Maria has been misdiagnosed for almost 2 years now- living in pain, discomfort, and with a leaking tumor. She was finally diagnosed with cancer in June/July and it still took her a month just to get a biopsy. The cancer was found by her liver, pancreas, colon, both ovaries, and her intestine. So a 2nd biopsy was scheduled to determine it's aggressiveness. That test had errors but was noted that the cancer has now spread to more than those 5 spots. After 2 weeks of trying to get an appt to retest, her oncologist made the decision to just start chemotherapy. She started the chemotherapy and will also have immunotherapy treatments. Friday, 11/3, she was supposed to have her blood work done but they cancelled it due to insurance coverage. They also canceled her chemo treatment that was schedule Monday 11/6- but we expect her to restart by next week.

Please pray for a complete recovery. I am putting out in the universe that we WILL have a miracle, Maria WILL get better, Chemo WILL work!

If we don't see results in Santa Fe I want to move her to Phoenix and get her into the Mayo Clinic.
