I wish we could start our story with a fairytale beginning like “my husband and I are high school sweethearts,” but that’s not how our love story begins. Our story began in 2008 when my husband and I met at a bar on jello wrestling night. The cute blonde and the overly confident mma fighter who immediately wanted to protect me. Dating for a while, our love grew and we married in 2016.

We soon began trying to start a family but knew something was wrong. We went to a fertility clinic and were given the option of IVF. We went through 4 soul crushing rounds and our lives were completely changed forever.

Suffering 2 miscarriages and 1 failed embryo transfer, we decided to start over with another egg retrieval and have these embryos genetically tested to increase our chance of success. We were successful! I became pregnant and was discharged from our fertility center being told that we’re now “Normal pregnant people!!!” Baby shower planned, nursery started, and gender reveal party completed. Our sweet baby boy Nolan was coming.

On Mother’s day May 12, 2019 I woke up with a pulsating headache, vomiting, vision changes, and with a blood pressure of 212/110. This began with what turned into multiple ER visits and 2 hospital stays. I developed severe pre-eclampsia that took the life of our sweet baby boy Nolan. I dreamed of the moment I could hold you, see what you looked like, take your first steps, watch you play football with your dad. And all those moments are now just that.....a dream. Our son, now our angel.

Our many losses and years of struggling has taken its toll but we can never give up hope. We want to start a family but have to look to other options. We hope to begin the process of surrogacy but know the financial burden may be too much to bear. We are humbling ourselves to this process and reaching out for help. If you can donate to help us with the cost of surrogacy, we want to thank you! Your prayers and support will help us through. Forever grateful,
Ashley & Chris
