From Hospital to Homeless -- Help her recover
$200 raised of
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of a dear friend. My friend has a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone. She would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. It pains me greatly to say she has recently faced unimaginable hardship. After a sudden and severe illness, she was hospitalized with a critical case of pneumonia, which turned into a life-threatening lung infection (Empyema). For over a month, she fought for her life in the hospital, and thanks to the dedicated medical team, she was able to be released, but will require an operation later to fix her lung properly.
Upon her release from the hospital, she was met with a devastating reality.
During her absence, someone broke into her apartment. They stole and sold anything of value, and destroyed other items. TVs, Xbox, controllers. They even stripped the wiring from her freezer and refrigerator. There are so many items that now need to be replaced.
The police also informed Liz that it would not be safe for her to return to the apartment as the people who broke in may come back.
I hope you can find it in your hearts to donate and help Liz recover from this. Even a share goes a long way.
Thank you very much!
