Hola! Mi nombre es Alejandro y esta es mi historia…

Nací en Venezuela hace 46 años, de padres Españoles. En Venezuela crecí, jugué, reí, lloré, me enamoré, estudié, me hice un profesional y todos esos detalles de una forma u otra fueron formando poco a poco a ese adolescente con ganas de comerse al mundo, con ganas de viajar, con ganas de conocer.

De una u otra forma, después de graduarme en la Universidad y trabajar un par de años como profesional en Venezuela, terminé dejándolo todo en Venezuela y en el año 2002, parto rumbo a España a comenzar una nueva vida. Tierra de mis padres, tierra de mi sangre, aquí, seguí creciendo personal y profesionalmente, seguí aprendiendo y comencé poco a poco a tener todas esas cosas materiales que siempre había soñado… ya sabes, una televisión grande, un buen equipo de música, mucha música, un piso de alquiler, ropa costosa, viajes por Europa y el mundo repletos de lujos, con el paso de los años la compra de una casa, una moto… y así miles de detalles materiales que solo me aportaban una felicidad ilusoria.

Después de 8 años en ese circulo vicioso comencé a preguntarme… “¿Que hago aquí?”, “¿Para que he venido a esta tierra?”, “¿Cual es el sentido de la vida?” y poco a poco fueron despertando en mi cientos de preguntas que no tenían respuesta, lamentablemente mi entorno social no me permitían conseguir una respuesta, todo se había vuelto monótono y rutinario, comencé a sentirme repleto de cosas materiales pero vacío por dentro, con mi corazón preguntando sin cesar y fue allí como poco a poco comencé a explorar esas preguntas, llevándome a la conclusión de que me valía de poco ganarme a esta sociedad si perdía en el camino a mi alma. Entonces, fue un Octubre del 2010 cuando decidí renunciar a mi trabajo y venderlo todo, dejar todo ese estilo de vida detrás e irme a la aventura por el mundo… quería para ese entonces, enamorarme, sentir el amor, explorar el corazón, conocerme a mi mismo, conocer al mundo, explorar lugares, conocer otras lenguas, otras comidas y fue así, lo dejé todo y me fui por el mundo, a viajar, a explorar.

Así que reuní todo el dinero que pude y primero me entregué al amor durante 6 meses, pero mi alma inquieta sentía una necesidad enorme por recorrer caminos nuevos y fue en Abril del 2011 cuando comenzó mi verdadera aventura mochilera, así que llené mi mochila con lo indispensable y comencé a recorres ciertos países de este mundo. Dí inicio a mi viaje por Venezuela y fui descendiendo y ascendiendo el continente americano por Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Panamá, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belice, México. Ya habían transcurrido unos años de este largo camino, viajé lo más despacio que los visados me permitían e intenté explorar al máximo cada rincón, al principio reconozco que era un turista con una mochila, pero con el paso de los años y poco a poco fui aprendiendo a viajar como un autentico mochilero, llevando una vida simple, sencilla, viviendo con muy poco dinero, llevando una vida de un humilde local pero sintiendo mi alma repleta de alegría y amor ante la vida.

Nunca planeé un viaje de esa magnitud, pero mis ahorros me permitían continuar el viaje, seguir llevando ese estilo de vida y mi corazón no quería parar de andar. Así que al dar por finalizado esa parte del continente Americano mi corazón tomó rumbo al Sudeste Asiático, así que continué mi aventura hacia Asia, comenzando por Tailandia y recorriendo posteriormente Malasia, Singapur, Indonesia, Brunéi, Filipinas, Vietnam, India.

Fue en este momento, aproximadamente a finales del 2019 cuando mi capacidad económica comenzó a menguar, me fui quedando poco a poco sin dinero. En abril-Mayo del 2020, en plena pandemia, reacio a querer trabajar, decidí irme caminando desde Madrid dirección Francia, mi idea era ir lo más al norte posible para cumplir un sueño, parte de este sueño actual y para ello recorrí miles de kilómetros andando hasta Plage de Pors Carn, Penmarch, Francia, pero las dificultades de vivir en la calle, unidas con las dificultades climáticas y económicas fueron llevándome poco a poco a organizar un regreso a Madrid. En este último pueblo Francés, conocí a una ser maravilloso que me ayudó a volver a Madrid y me dio ánimo para volver a comenzar.

Posteriormente con la ayuda de familiares y amigos he conseguido volver a conseguir trabajo en mi área profesional y llevo desde comienzos del 2021 trabajando nuevamente.

Después de casi 2 años de trabajo ininterrumpido mi corazón está nuevamente comenzando a latir, deseoso de un cumplir ese sueño que no pudo conseguir hacer caminando por tierras Francesas y así es como nace este nuevo sueño, este nuevo proyecto, al que he bautizado como Proyecto Boreal.

En todos estos últimos años ha pasado de todo un poco por mi vida, risas, lagrimas, alegrías, dolor, tristeza, reflexiones, perdidas, amores, enfrentamientos, desamores, miedos, riesgos, abundancia, sufrimiento, amistades, locura, entrega, misticismo, enfermedad, pero el mundo no ha dejado de girar, mi corazón no ha dejado de latir y yo no he dejado de soñar, y estos sueños me han traído a esta nueva etapa de mi vida, a este nuevo sueño… Proyecto Boreal.

¿Que es Proyecto Boreal?.

Proyecto boreal es un sueño, una idea, un proyecto, miles de caminos y un destino. Proyecto Boreal, consiste en un viaje en moto por cientos de caminos de Europa, dirección norte, durmiendo de acampada en el camino, viajando lo más económico posible con la idea principal de contemplar las Aureolas Boreales en países Nórdicos y finalizar el recorrido en Islandia.

One way or another, after graduating from the University and working for a couple of years as a professional in Venezuela, I ended up leaving everything in Venezuela and in 2002, he left for Spain to start a new life. Land of my parents, land of my blood, here, I continued to grow personally and professionally, I continued to learn and little by little I began to have all those material things that I had always dreamed of… you know, a big television, a good stereo , a lot of music, a rental apartment, expensive clothes, trips around Europe and the world full of luxuries, over the years the purchase of a house, a motorcycle… and so on thousands of material details that only brought me an illusory happiness.

After 8 years in that vicious circle, I began to ask myself… “What am I doing here?”, “Why have I come to this earth?”, “What is the meaning of life?” and little by little hundreds of unanswered questions were awakening in me, unfortunately my social environment did not allow me to get an answer, everything had become monotonous and routine, I began to feel full of material things but empty inside, with my heart asking endlessly and it was there that little by little I began to explore those questions, leading me to the conclusion that it was worth little to win over this society if I lost my soul along the way. So, it was October 2010 when I decided to quit my job and sell everything, leave all that lifestyle behind and go on an adventure around the world… I wanted by then to fall in love, feel love, explore the heart, meet myself, to know the world, to explore places, to know other languages, other foods and it was like that, I left everything and went around the world, to travel, to explore.

So I gathered all the money I could and first I gave myself to love for 6 months, but my restless soul felt an enormous need to travel new paths and it was in April 2011 when my true backpacking adventure began, so I filled my backpack with what indispensable and I began to visit certain countries of this world. I started my trip through Venezuela and went down and up the American continent through Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico. A few years had already passed on this long road, I traveled as slowly as the visas allowed me and tried to explore every corner as much as possible, at first I recognize that I was a tourist with a backpack, but over the years and little by little I was learning to travel like a real backpacker, leading a simple life, living with very little money, leading a humble local life but feeling my soul full of joy and love for life.

I never planned a trip of this magnitude, but my savings allowed me to continue the trip, continue living that lifestyle and my heart did not want to stop walking. So when that part of the American continent ended, my heart turned to Southeast Asia, so I continued my adventure to Asia, starting with Thailand and later traveling through Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, Vietnam, India.

It was at this time, approximately at the end of 2019, when my economic capacity began to decline, I gradually ran out of money. In April-May 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, reluctant to want to work, I decided to walk from Madrid to France, my idea was to go as far north as possible to fulfill a dream, part of this current dream, and for this I traveled thousands of kilometers walking to Plage de Pors Carn, Penmarch, France, but the difficulties of living on the street, together with the climatic and economic difficulties gradually led me to organize a return to Madrid. In this last French town, I met a wonderful person who helped me return to Madrid and encouraged me to start over.

Later, with the help of family and friends, I managed to get a job again in my professional area and I have been working since the beginning of 2021.

After almost 2 years of uninterrupted work, my heart is beginning to beat again, wishing to fulfill that dream that I could not achieve walking through French lands and that is how this new dream is born, this new project, which I have baptized as Project Boreal.

In all these last years a little bit of everything has happened in my life, laughter, tears, joy, pain, sadness, reflections, losses, loves, confrontations, heartbreaks, fears, risks, abundance, suffering, friendships, madness, dedication, mysticism , disease, but the world has not stopped turning, my heart has not stopped beating and I have not stopped dreaming, and these dreams have brought me to this new stage of my life, to this new dream… Boreal Project.

Boreal Project, consists of a motorcycle trip through hundreds of roads in Europe, heading north, sleeping camping along the way, traveling as cheaply as possible with the main idea of ​​contemplating the Boreal Lights in Nordic countries and ending the tour in Iceland.
