Ashton was admitted to Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston, Texas on the early morning of February 4th after dealing with severe complications with Crohn’s disease, a chronic illness he’s had since 2004. On February 5th, doctors advised Ashton that the complexity of his case was past the means of internal medicine & extensive surgery would need to be performed. Ashton underwent surgery for seven hours having a colostomy taken down and replaced, a gallbladder removed, a removal of the transverse colon, a portion of the small intestine and a small portion of the stomach. Ashton is currently recovering from this very extensive surgical procedure and will be placed into a long term care facility to give his GI tract time to heal as well as undergo the physical therapy necessary for a reintroduction into everyday life. In the meantime, Ashton is still facing the financial obligations of his lease, car note and other bills that, without being able to work, he simply would not have the means to pay on his own. Not to mention the inevitable medical bills that will accrue after the extent of his care. This is where your help and support is needed. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated so that Ashton can focus fully on his recovery & health during this difficult time.
