Proving The Secret

For the past year I have been recovering from surgery after snapping both my biceps.

While recovering I became aware of a treasure hunt written in a book, called “The Secret, a treasure hunt”, which is the world's longest running unsolved Treasure Hunt.

I first saw this on a TV Show called “Expedition Unknown”, presented by Joshua Gates, this can be watched on Amazon Prime, they are covered in special shows in Season four and Season Six.

The actual book was written in 1982 by Byron Preiss,

Within the book are Twelve Verses and Twelve Images, by pairing the correct image to the correct verse, the reader is encouraged to decipher the clues to reveal a location where three feet below the ground a Casque has been buried at various locations throughout North America.

There are twelve Casques, each held within a perspex box, the Casques are a Ceramic (non fired) Lidded Pot, each Ceramic Pot contains a Ceramic Key, these were created by an artist, each different.

Any key, if found, will be submitted to the Hunt’s owners and there is a Jewel waiting as reward to the lucky finder. However to be clear, there is NO actual treasure or reward for ANY contributor, save to have your name (if shared) recorded with mine connected to The Secret’s history.

So far three casques have been found and recovered, but in the 42 years since the book was written, the remaining nine casques have not yet been discovered.

I believe I have found the specific locations for all the remaining Casques, I have discovered a “theory” leading me to be able to decipher the clues and leading me to what I believe is the correct locations for each of the remaining casques.

My discoveries, to the best of my research, are unique and so far not presented online.

But I am in need of some help..

I am almost recovered from my surgeries, but I have more surgery scheduled in the next year. I am hoping to have the opportunity to make this happen before I become too unfit to try.

Unfortunately I am not really able to return to full time work properly and in the meantime I am just surviving and as such I cannot alone afford to cover the additional cost of travelling from the UK to the USA.

The location I have selected to prove my theory is the cheapest location I might reach given current travel costs to where any of these casques are located.

I am seeking sponsors to help fund the costs of travel etc, of approximately £1000 per person, for ideally two persons, Myself and a videographer, if i can only achieve half the funding I will travel alone from the UK to a specific location in the USA, where I will dig a hole to prove my theory for just one location.

Should the resulting hole prove my theory, and reward me with finding the buried casque at that location, I believe that I would then gain the support of the “TV people'' in funding efforts to find the rest.

Ultimately I understand that this is a very speculative endeavour and may result in nothing more than wasting money on a short trip, but it will be a good story.

However I strongly believe that I have deciphered the puzzles correctly. After applying my theory to each puzzle, it led me confidently to a very specific site for each remaining Casque, leaving me with a very very high confidence in my theory.
