Providing Zachary Pfaff's Medical Costs

Hi, my name is Donna Hebert. I have been blessed to know the Pfaff family for several years. We met when our family first enrolled in Classical Conversations, and as many of you know, CC plays a massive role in the Pfaff family's life. In addition, my children were blessed by the faithfulness of Jonathan and Elania's role they played as CC directors. I have been inspired by their commitment to their children's education but primarily by their commitment to train them in the ways of the Lord.

Jonathan and Elania's faith in the Lord was evident when Zachary was first diagnosed with cancer. They trusted Him as they started this new chapter of learning everything they could to help beat the cancer attacking their precious son.

However, as they continued to treat Zachary, the medical costs kept rising, and as a large family, this strains other necessities. Therefore, I hope to help them with this fundraiser so they can continue to home educate and provide for the family's daily needs and not be financially burdened as they treat Zachary.

The funds will go directly to Jonathan and Elania to cover their family's needs and Zachary's treatments.

Here are the things we plan to use any monetary donations for:

Out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance, including weekly appointments, supplies and supplements

hospitality costs for family/friends who are coming to help with care, like extra groceries and gas, and to help with their travel expenses (tickets are expensive when your dates are near and inflexible)

Not desiring to waste resources or time with Zachary, we went into our nutrition appointment with skepticism, however we were very encouraged by the change in demeanor and look of Zachary after that first appointment. So, we are pursuing a course of natural palliative and hopefully curative treatments right now that aren't covered under insurance.

Another area of need is intertwined with the deep, sacrificial love of the people God has placed in our lives. Several old friends are willing to come out at Zachary's request to lend a hand and specifically to lift his spirits. Anyone who wishes can contribute to travel and hospitality expenses as they will be staying with us.

We are grateful for any help and encouraged by the kind generosity it represents.
