The purpose of this fundraising campaign is to ensure that the residents of the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza have access to clean drinking water.
Last month, over 60,000 people had to flee their homes in the Jabalia refugee camp and Beit Hannon area due to intense Israeli bombing. When they returned, they were met with massive destruction. Additionally, there is a total lack of essential services, including water and food.
Photo: AFPThe camp has been declared a disaster area, with significant damage to infrastructure and housing. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, reported "horrific" conditions and immense losses. Key infrastructure, such as water wells and hospitals, has been severely damaged.
In the Jabalia refugee camp, the situation is very serious. There is only one well in the area, and it is now out of operation, making it difficult for people to access water. We want to help the residents of Jabalia and hope for donations to procure and install solar panels, batteries, and an electric water pump to make it possible to operate the well and ensure water reaches the residents. We need donations to purchase the following equipment:
Solar panels: 7 panels. Cost: $6,000.
Water pump: 5 kW capacity. Cost: $2,000.
Batteries: 4 batteries, each with 200 Ah capacity. Cost: $5,000. Total cost: $13,000 (approx. 140,000 NOK). We hope for your generosity.
I have previously raised money for various purposes. You can read about past campaigns here.

I am collaborating with my cousin who lives in Jablaia refugee camp and I guarntee that the money will be used to help the thousands of people who are stranded and in dire need for drinking water.
