Providing Resources to improve Childhood Literacy

Hi! We are Abby Froyshteter, Neha Pinni, and Nandu Pentapati and we are juniors at Stevenson High School. As a part of our AP Spanish Language and Culture project for the WExCollege Board program, we want to partner with local elementary schools to provide their student body with more resources and authentic spanish books/tools in order to promote and improve childhood literacy. Currently, 61% of low income families have no books in their homes for their children. Through this GoFundMe, we hope that our community can come together and buy spanish books for the K-5 classrooms of Eugene Field Elementary School. Even the smallest contribution can make a large difference and help us reach our goal of buying over 30 books and raising 300 dollars for this school. Whether it’s through buying one or a couple books, through our Amazon wish list or by donating to our GoFundMe, you’ll be helping bring accessible education to kids in low income communities!
