Providing Relief for Katelyn!

Dear Friends and Family,

We are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our beloved and beautiful friend Katelyn Goode, who, on October 13th, was diagnosed with HER2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. Katelyn's treatment plan advises a double mastectomy to minimize the potential spread of cancerous cells in her body. Additionally, she is prescribed a rigorous five-year course of Tamoxifen, a medication that works by blocking estrogen production.

As a self-employed individual, Katelyn is fortunate to have health insurance. However, her insurance company only approved the mastectomy for one breast. After persistent appeals, we are grateful that Katelyn has finally been approved for the remaining mastectomy scheduled for February 9th. Nevertheless, Katelyn now faces ADDITIONAL surgeries that could have been prevented if insurance had approved a double mastectomy initially. This means more unpaid time off work for Katelyn. Adding to the challenges, Katelyn also has to undergo reconstruction surgery.

Those who know Katelyn know her thoughtfulness, creativity, and unwavering loyalty. These are the cornerstones of who she is. She approaches life with passion and determination, inspiring all of us fortunate enough to be around her.

Katelyn's enormous heart has always driven her to go above and beyond for friends and family. Now, as she faces this challenging time, it is our turn to rally around her. This fundraiser aims to alleviate some of the stress burdening Katelyn during this critical period. No donation is too big or too small; every contribution will significantly aid her by:

• Replacing lost income during her essential time off work allows her to focus wholeheartedly on healing.

• Covering deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses associated with the challenges she's confronting.

• Assisting with the cost of the Tamoxifen medication is crucial to her recovery.
