Providing Arnold life saving brain surgery

Hi, my name is Alex and I’m fundraising for a little boy name Arnold (on the right) who needs life saving brain surgery. He lives in Tanzania Africa and attends a free local school run by my friend Anne-Marie. She works tirelessly running this charity to keep the school running, and they simply don’t have the funds to pay for this surgery.

Arnold lives with his Bibi (grandmother) and last week he had an accident on the playground and after being told he was fine by several doctors, they’ve learned he needs life saving surgery at a more advanced hospital.

On top of medical costs thus far, there is the actual cost of the surgery, transport costs (the hospital is over 2 hours from his home) as well as post-op costs.

Not only is his current home not suitable for him while he awaits surgery (and we’ve moved him to another space where he is monitored 24/7) it won’t be suitable for him post-op until he is fully healed.

There is no way his family would be able to cover the costs of this surgery which is absolutely unimaginable for them. There isn’t a health care system or benefits, loans or credit cards.

We have to fully fundraise for surgery and all expenses attached to it.

At this point we know the cost of the surgery and some post-op care but don’t have a full idea of what is required. Surgery will be taking place November 8th and as we continue to know more we will update you.
