Providence Zen Center needs your help!

If you are reading this it most likely means that PZC is important to you or is incredibly important to someone close to you. We are a community of zen practitioners embracing the teaching of “Don’t Know” to look inside, understand our true self, and help others, moment by moment by moment. Your contribution, no matter how small, will help us continue to keep “Don’t Know” alive.

The Issue: Built in the early 1900’s, The Providence Zen Center needs multiple repairs to continue to thrive. The most urgent matter is repairing and improving the roof, now more than 100 years old! This is needed to prevent the deterioration of structural elements, to prevent mold and mildew, as well as damage to personal and Zen Center property.

The Solution: We have a goal of raising $60,000 for repairs to the roof and installation of solar panels! The first step will be raising $30,000 to begin repairs on the roof. Once the roof is fixed, an additional $30,000 will be needed to install solar panels on the Zen Center roof in key areas.

Installing solar panels at PZC will not only be of financial benefit in helping to sustain our organization, but is a way for us to live more harmoniously with nature. We want to be a community that sets an example for conscious living, extending compassion for all beings by reducing our reliance on more harmful methods of generating energy for the sangha.
